In his first letter, John writes that 'we are called to love one another, for love comes from God' . He then goes on to warn that 'whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4 vs 1 & 2). Paul also informs us that 'if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing' (1 Corinthians 13 v2b). That love about which John and Paul write extends to our attitude towards others - and not just in the church. We cannot refer to ourselves as being 'Christian' if we fail to love one another. In this talk, Roger Snowdon unpacks 1 John 4 to find out what it means to truly love 'because He first loved us'. What a lovely bunch of even more loving people we will become!
