The Team

Gillingham Community Church is lead by Pete Duke, supported by a team with specific areas of responsibility (and everyone else in the church doing their bit!)

Pete Duke

Pete & Brenda Pete is the overall Leader of the Church, taking over this responsibility in June 2001. He had spent the previous 4 years as a full-time elder at Shaftesbury Christian Centre, and for ten years before that had various management roles with the British & Foreign Bible Society. He is married to Brenda and has three adult children and three grandchildren.

As anybody who knows him is aware, he is a passionate Southend Utd supporter, getting to as many games as possible.

His primary gift is that of evangelist and it is that area of church life which especially draws him. He has had clear vision at GCC to see the church really impact the Blackmore Vale.

Steve Gibbons

Steve Gibbons Steve has overall charge of administration and communication for the church. As a qualified and experienced counsellor, he is involved in one-to-one and group counselling activities, both locally and in other parts of the country. He works as a project manager, mostly in the area of satellite data communications and frequently travels abroad with his work. Contact Steve.

Hannah Gibbons

Han runs the Gillingham CAP Centre. Before this she was an independent financial advisor. Han works with a team of volunteer support workers, who visit those who need support in the local community. She has a heart to reach out to the poor and needy and to bring them practical aid and the good news about Jesus. Contact Han.

David Lock

David oversees overseas mission work and prayer. Contact David.

Clive Ozzard

Clive Ozzard Clive oversees community which also includes small groups. Clive is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development and is interested in what makes both people and organisations 'tick'. He has been married to Sue for 21 years and has two daughters and an infamous dog called Buster. He is currently employed as Business Adviser. Contact Clive.

Jamie Robinson

Jamie leads the music groups which help us to worship on Sunday mornings. Contact Jamie.

Steve and Hannah Gibbons

Originally from Liverpool, Steve and Han moved to Dorset in 1991. They have three adult children and two grandchildren. They have a great desire to see the people of God equipped to serve the rest of the community and a church that is relevant, effective and able to reach out to others in a meaningful way.

Tim & Becky Godfrey

Tim & Becky have lived in Gillingham for 13 years. Tim is head of sixth form at Gillingham School and Becky is a nursery assistant at Topsie Rabbit Nursery. They have three children.
