If you are a visitor or thinking of coming for the first time, you will be very welcome, whether or not you consider yourself to be a Christian. Please contact us if you need more information about anything.
When and where do we meet?
We meet together for worship each Sunday morning at 10:30am at Gillingham Primary School, School Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QR. The meeting usually finishes around midday when Fairtrade refreshments are available.
We have car parking available for all meetings at the school. For gatherings at The Old Library road parking is permitted after 7pm.
As well as Sunday mornings there are other small group meetings and social activities that take place during the week.
The school where we meet on Sundays is wheelchair-accessible and we can provide large-print versions of the words to the songs, if required. If you have any special needs, please contact us.
What to expect
We have a relaxed style at our meetings and hope that you feel at home. Should you need assistance in any way or if you have a question about anything during or after the meeting, please ask and we will be happy to help.
On a typical Sunday there will be songs of praise and worship, opportunity to share testimony of what God is doing in people’s lives and a talk by a member of the congregation or visiting speaker.
Children generally stay in for the first quarter-/half-hour of our worship, and then they leave for their age-appropriate groups. An announcement will be made when it’s time for the children to leave for their groups; parents are welcome to observe and to use the facilities available.
Around 10:45am children aged 2 to year 5 go to kids’ group; around 11am our youths (year 6+) head to The Old Library for youth group.
We have a safeguarding policy and all of our helpers have had DBS checks.
There is no collection or offering, though we do have a box at the back for financial gifts: please don’t feel obliged to give.
After the meeting
Please join us for refreshments after the meeting. We usually finish around midday and there is time for fellowship afterwards in the community room through the door behind the green curtains. Help yourself to any of the leaflets or booklets that are on the information table in that room.

Coming along soon?
If you're planning on visiting soon and would like someone to make contact beforehand then use this form. Give us some contact details and we'll get in touch to make you feel as welcome as possible. There's no commitment and you only have to give the information that you're comfortable giving.
We also have an office in town so you are welcome to arrange to come along for a chat with us beforehand if that would help. Call 01747 825611 Monday morning or office hours Tuesday to Thursday. The address is The Old Library, Station Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4PY.
There is always at least one person with each children's group that has had a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS - formerly Criminal Records Bureau) check carried out. We have a child protection policy in place, a copy of which can be found on our publications page.
All those who work with vulnerable people are DBS-checked.
