Christian suffering. Jesus was totally upfront about it. Paul experienced it. Peter emphasised that we must expect it. Each of them unjustly died for their faith. When we commit our lives to Jesus, we mustn't expect an 'easy ride' - on the contrary, we WILL experience setbacks, insults and even persecution. That's because we desire to live righteous and Godly lives, not lives dictated by human (fleshly) standards. Continuing our series of talks based on 1 Peter, Martin Powell examines why we will all experience suffering, reassuring us that Jesus has already been there and goes ahead of us on our Christian journey.
