Visitors

If you are a visitor or thinking of coming for the first time, you will be very welcome, whether or not you consider yourself to be a Christian. Please contact us if you need more information about anything or would like to join our emailing list.

When and where do we meet?

We meet together for worship each Sunday morning at Gillingham Primary School, School Road, Gillingham, Dorset SP8 4QR. The meeting starts at 10:30am; we’re usually finished by 11.45am.

During school summer holidays arrangements are often different so please check What’s On?

As well as Sunday mornings there are other small group meetings and social activities that take place during the week, both at Wessex House and around the community.

Accessibility

The school where we meet on Sunday is fully wheelchair accessible. Wessex House which is used for other events, is not easily wheelchair-accessible but please get in touch and we can work out how to ensure we can get you in. We can provide large-print versions of the words to the songs, if required. If you have any special needs, please contact us.

There is a small carpark at the rear of Wessex House.

What to expect

We have a relaxed style at our meetings and hope that you feel at home. Should you need assistance in any way or if you have a question about anything during or after the meeting, please ask and we will be happy to help.

On a typical Sunday there will be songs of praise and worship, opportunity to share testimony of what God is doing in people’s lives and a talk by a member of the congregation or visiting speaker.

For two meetings each month, we all stay together, and for the other two meetings we split into age-specific groups (children and adults) for the meeting (see the home page).

There is no collection or offering, though we do have a box in the welcome area for financial gifts: please don’t feel obliged to give.

Policies

Child safety

There is always at least one person with each children's group that has had a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check carried out. We have a child protection policy in place, a copy of which can be found on our publications page.

Vulnerable people

All those who work with vulnerable people are DBS-checked.
