Church community

Sunday meetings

We meet at 10:30am each Sunday at Gillingham Primary School, School Road, SP8 4QR. The meeting usually finishes around 11.45am. You can get an idea of what to expect on our visitors page. On the first Sunday of the month we usually celebrate communion and on the third Sunday we celebrate anyone’s birthday that month (and the children receive gifts).

Small groups

Much of the relationship-building in the church takes place during the week at a number of small groups which meet on different days during the day or evening. More about small groups...

Social events

Part of being a family is doing things together. We sometimes go out for the day as a church or with the small groups for picnics, walks, BBQs and so on. We often eat together, either as a whole church or in small groups. We believe that Jesus has given us a life to be lived to the full and we try to live up to that.

Weekends Away

Every other year we go away together for a weekend of fun, fellowship and teaching.

Family forum

Three times a year the partners meet together to update each other and to discuss matters of importance to us such as our vision for the church and the community, finances, organisation and matters of belief and ethics. 

Special events

These are arranged on an ad hoc basis and include such things as women’s lunches and men’s breakfasts and film nights. Sometimes we run larger events such as weekend conferences and day seminars or courses.

Prayer

Prayer for church events and the things we are involved in takes place regularly (see the diary for details) and at 10am every Sunday morning to pray for that morning’s meeting.

Courses

We run a variety of courses as needed throughout the year. These include:

Alpha

Alpha is an 11-week course that creates a space, online or in person, where people are excited to bring their friends for a conversation about faith, life and God. It is also helpful to give a new grounding for new Christians.

Freedom in Christ

Freedom in Christ helps to equip Christians to see transformation in their lives and for them to be fruitful.

Know More

Know More is our own in-house course for those wanting to know more about GCC over three evenings.

The Conquer Series

The Conquer Series is for anyone wanting to get free of pornography.

Kintsugi Hope

Kintsugi Hope is a mental well-being course designed to help those struggling with low-level mental health issues.
